Phantasm (1979-2016) the 1st of these horror movie franchise, that came out in 1979, scared the heck out of me as a kid, with the Tall Man and his deadly sphere. Tall Man actor Angus Scrimm has played an evil person in over 50 horror/sci-fi movies. The rest of the Phantasm series, though became more predictable, at least follows through the storyline with Reggie and the Tall Man. I havent seen the 5th one that came out a couple years ago, Phanstasm: Ravager, but the trailer looks crazy.
Also another bit of trivia involving the Tall Man, he used to write liner notes for records before getting into acting, he wrote the liner notes to Meet the Beatles. For 30 years he wrote for Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Mae West, George Fields and The Beatles, he wrote under the name Roy Guy. He was born as Lawrence Guy, in Aug 19, 1926 and passed away January 9, 2016.
