Just watched the Rick James doc! At 18, he moves to Canada to dodge the draft in 1964, starts a band with Neil Young and Bruce Palmer, fires their manager for spending their advance Motown $$. Manager then rats Rick James to the Navy, he gets arrested for being a draft dodger, the band ends up breaking up, then Neil Young and Palmer buys a hearse, drives to LA and starts Buffalo Springfield. Crazy destiny...more crazier is when Rick James and his wife was invited to attend a party at Sharon Tate's house, the night of the Manson murders, but Rick wanted to just kick it at home. Insane.
