When I was 15, in the Philippines, mid-80s, I called DJ Magic Mark on radio station WXB-102, and requested Lorraine by Bad Manners, told him I was hoping to catch it on my tape recorder, after hearing it. He told me, I could go to his wife's stationary store in my neighborhood, and buy a C-90 cassette from him of new wave songs I want from his list, he will record like 20 songs a tape, 1 peso a song. Took 3 to 5 days for him to make, it was his side hustle.
