Bob from Scenic Presents blessed me w/ a plus one to the Black Flag show he put on at Rocks Off Concert cruise. Couldn't find anyone that could make the 7pm boarding since it was last minute, so meet a friend at the port @chrisryanaction to join me. 3 hours around the New York harbor towards the Statue of Liberty with Black Flag doing 2 long sets consisting of songs from the First Four Years (I played bass in a Black Flag tribute band that only did songs off those records, so it was exciting to hear it proper). I've seen this Ginn/Vallely lineup once and like this version. You have to hold on to the ceiling rafters to keep your balance all night because the water was so choppy, also made it more fun. When the boat came back, my new friend's old bandmate had set up his drums and was doing Black Flag covers for tips at the port. Pretty frikkin epic night to say the least, no night tan though
