#tbt Martin Wong and I

#tbt Here's a pic from a couple weeks ago during the Jawbreaker/Bratmobile show in Brooklyn with @martinkendallwong and I. Around 1994, going on daily crime treks with @joelwingog thru Telegraph, I stumbled on either the 1st or 2nd issue of Giant Robot when it was still a xerox copy fanzine, and wrote Eric and Martin a letter, and became friends. When the Peechees would come down to LA to play shows, Martin would always come out see us and a bunch of times ended up dropping our intro curtain banners before shows for us. Him and Eric eventually gave me my own page in Giant Robot when it became a magazine around 1996. My section was called the Adobo Mix, it was about DJ Battling, DJ mixtapes and Breakdancing battle VHS. Funny talking to Martin, that he is still connected through old friends in the punk scene, through his daughter's band, she plays bass in the Linda Linda's,  and his sister's

Kids play guitar and drums in it too. They're really badass!badges!!
