Queens Comic party

  Stopped by the @queenscomicparty and found some Ernie Chan and Romeo Tanghal comic book art in the dollar bins. Both artist was among the 1st wave of Filipino talent to migrate to the US, after being hired by DC comics in the 1970s/80s, to add their touch.

  Romeo Tanghal for Filipino-American History Month. Romeo Tanghal was part of the core group of Filipino illustrators who worked for Marvel/DC comics in the 1970s-80s, and migrated to the US . Started as an inker/penciller for the horror theme comics, worked on some Batman and Detective Comics and inked most comic adaptations of movies like Willow, Elvira, Labyrinth for Marvel.
